Jimmy Page planning live return in 2010
Electric guitar legend Jimmy Page has revealed he has written new material and plans to play it live in 2010.
The veteran guitarist has not performed live since the one off Led Zeppelin reunion show in 2007 at The O2 in London and told Sky News he is looking forward to changing that. However, he will not be playing with his former Led Zeppelin colleagues John Paul Jones and Robert Plant this time.
"Next year I have every intention of playing music live and manifesting it. I've got the music waiting, and that's what I'll be doing," he explained.
Page, who is famed for his use of the Gibson Les Paul, is widely regarded as one of the finest electric guitar players of all time, having written such classics as Black Dog, Rock and Roll, Stairway to Heaven and Kashmir during his time with Led Zeppelin.
He also experienced success both pre and post Led Zeppelin, with The Yardbirds and The Firm.Posted on 17 Dec 2009 10:55 to category : Band / Celebrity News
