John Fogerty: My wife suggested I play with Springsteen
John Fogerty invited electric guitar player Bruce Springsteen to play on his latest album following a suggestion from his wife, it has been revealed.
The former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman told the Daily Express that the idea of the two friends working together at some point had almost been taken for granted over the years.
However, the pair never actually joined forces until the recording of Fogerty's latest album The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again.
According to Fogerty, it was his wife's idea to have Springsteen appear on a cover of The Everly Brothers' classic When Will I Be Loved.
He added that she also suggested he record Back Home Again by John Denver on the album, which is a sequel to his 1973 LP The Blue Ridge Rangers.
Don Henley of The Eagles is also among the musicians performing on the record.Posted on 10 Nov 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
