John Mayer teams up with Fender
Grammy Award-winning guitarist John Mayer is to team up with Fender to produce two signature electric guitars, according to the press.
The Daily Express reports that on his official YouTube channel, the Daughters performer revealed that he is recreate his favourite Fender Stratocaster, which he calls the Black One, in two separate lines.
He said that one of the copies will be an exact replica of his guitar down to the tiniest details and will only have a very limited run of about 83.
But due to this guitar costing in the region of $6,000 (£4,277), he is also going to a design a more affordable model so that his fans do not miss out.
Fender produces signature guitars for a number of renowned musicians, including Jim Root of Slipknot and legendary virtuoso Yngwie Malsteen.
