John Paul Jones may appear at Foo Fighters shows
Legendary bass guitar player John Paul Jones has revealed he is hoping for an invitation to perform with the Foo Fighters when they visit the UK next year.
The Led Zeppelin star has struck up a friendship with the band's frontman Dave Grohl, with both working together in super-group Them Crooked Vultures.
Jones told BBC 6 Music that he would be happy to make an appearance at either of the giant gigs the Foo Fighters are set to play at the Milton Keynes Bowl next July.
"I might gate crash one of their gigs I think ... if he [Grohl] asks," said the bass guitar player.
He added that Them Crooked Vultures are planning to get together within the next 12 months or so to record another album.
The undercard for the Foo Fighters summer shows includes Biffy Clyro, Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, Tame Impala and The Hot Rats.
