Judas Priest reveal new details of their farewell tour
Judas Priest have announced more details of their farewell tour, which will take the English heavy metal rockers all over the world this year.
Richie Faulkner, an equally accomplished electric guitar player, will be stepping into his shoes.
Known as the Epitaph Tour, the show will celebrate their 30-plus years of music as well as showcasing some of their new material.
Glenn Tipton, the band's other seasoned guitarist, who grew up playing the piano, said that their final tour was not a sign that they were breaking up.
He told the magazine: "It takes a big chunk out of your life. We've been doing it for 40 years now or close to it, and we all love that moment on stage, but it's difficult to be away from home and all the travelling involved."
The band's singer, Rob Halford, said that fans can expect a treat from their final tour, which will include "lasers, the bombs, the smoke, new costumes and the bike".
Judas Priest, whose members are now in their late 50s and early 60s, came together in 1969. Their name comes from the Bob Dylan song The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest.
