KORG Access All Areas With Queen's Keyboard Player, Spike Edney
The flagship workstation from the Japanese manufacturer has become a bedrock of Queen's live keys sound such is its versatility and comprehensive library of sounds.
"I need a whole range of sounds that either reflect the early 70s, right the way up to the 90s. We have some big sounds with lots of piano, the later Queen stuff becomes quite orchestral," said Queen keyboard player Spike Edney.
During the world's biggest stages video interview with KORG, which can be found at the bottom of this article, Spike walks through the intricacies and the possibilities available through the Korg Kronos workstation in some of Queen's hit songs, such as; Radio Ga Ga.
He added: "They're easy to program, great range of sounds - I love the piano, love the orchestral sounds - they all sound very realistic and easy to blend in. If you have had previous experience be it from the M3 or the Triton then you'll find it [Kronos] very easy to get to grips with."
Queen and vocalist Adam Lambert are set to take to the stage alongside the KORG Kronos in their forthcoming European tour which starts on 20th May 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal.
