Kasabian and The Chemical Brothers confirmed for RockNess
Electric guitar band Kasabian and dance duo The Chemical Brothers will be taking to the stage at next year's RockNess festival.
They are the first pair of headline acts confirmed for the 2011 event and festival director Jim King said he was delighted with both bookings.
King described Kasabian as "the biggest rock band in the UK today" and predicted they will put on a memorable performance.
"As for The Chemical Brothers, they epitomise everything we ever dreamed about as a RockNess headliner. They are one of my favourite bands of all time," he added.
Music fans will be hoping for further big names to be added to the bill in the coming months after this year's bash was awarded the prize for Best Line Up at the UK Festival Awards.
RockNess 2010 included performances from electric guitar group The Strokes, indie stars Vampire Weekend, dance icon Fatboy Slim and the legendary Blondie.
