Kasabian iTunes threat

Kasabian would like to ''blow up'' iTunes so that people couldn't download music.

Kasabian think the internet is bad for music.

The 'Fire' singers suggested that someone should "blow up" iTunes so that downloading music became impossible.

Bassist Chris Edwards added that the future would be bleak for music.

He said: "Record shops won't be around, albums will probably die. No one has to queue up for an album. There's no hysteria, no looking forward to it - you can download it months before, if you search the web enough."

Serge Pizzorno suggested that it would be "phenomenal" if everyone's computers were wiped, to which Edwards said: "You could go down and blow up iTunes so there's no songs on the internet!

"Then wipe out all the hard drives - beep! Then everyone would have to get CDs and records."

Singer Tom Meighan added that little can be done to stop people downloading albums illegally.

He told Hot Press: "There's nothing you can do about it. If it happens, it happens."

Recently the band revealed that their new album, the follow up to 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum', would have an "old school grunge" sound.
