Kate Bush to release "proper" new studio album
Kate Bush might not have succeeded in knocking Adele off the top of the UK album charts with her latest album Director's Cut – a reworking of old songs – but you bet she can land the coveted number one spot with a "proper" new studio album.
The iconic music star revealed that she is indeed working on a new record, which will excite many of her fans.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Bush said that she planned on releasing the new material when it all comes together.
Known for taking her time between records, it is unknown when exactly she plans on putting the album out.
She told Mark Radcliffe: "It's all kinds of bits and pieces, really. There's always ideas buzzing around, but it's whether they actually end up materialising into a song. It's quite an elusive process."
In what proved to be a revealing interview, the 52-year-old artist also informed listeners that she was planning on touring in the foreseeable future.
Given that she has only ever been on tour once in her professional career, this is bound to send shockwaves throughout the music business.
Her latest album went in at number two, unable to conquer Adele's record-breaking album 21, which is the UK's biggest selling digital album of all time.
