Kelly Clarkson's album delayed
Kelly Clarkson's new album has been delayed until September.
The 'Since You've Been Gone' singer's fifth record - the follow-up to 2009's 'All I Ever Wanted' - was scheduled for release earlier this year, but the 29-year-old star has revealed fans will have to wait, despite her having completed recording.
She wrote on her Facebook page: "I recently found out that my album won't be coming out until September. The album has been recorded, but I can't release it until then. I realise that is a long time, but that's the best time to release it apparently so I'm sorry for the wait, but I promise you it sounds great!"
Speaking about the record recently, Kelly revealed it changes musical direction away from the rock sound established of her last two albums to be influenced by country music, as well as a diverse range of other artists.
She said: "It is influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there's a little bit of a Country vibe/influence on a couple of songs."
'My Life Would Suck Without You' hitmaker Kelly also confirmed the album contains a cover of Eric Hutchinson's 'Why Don't You Try', but laughed off speculation it will be titled 'May', writing "that's the worst title ever.Posted on 16 Mar 2011 16:15 to category : Music News
