Kelly Jones: Music is the most powerful art form
Stereophonics frontman and electric guitar player Kelly Jones has hailed the impact that music can have on a person.
The Welsh rocker described music as the most powerful and moving art form around, as it can have a profound emotional impact.
"It can take you to specific moments in your life that you thought you'd never go back to," he told I Like Music.
"I don't think anything else can do that really."
Jones stated that despite recent changes in the way in which music is sold and distributed, it will never go out of fashion.
He added that he first got into music through records owned by his older brothers, such as albums by Bob Dylan and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Jones said he then fell in love with classic rock acts such as Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.
These influences helped Stereophonics become one of the UK's most popular bands in recent years, notching up hits such as Dakota, Mr Writer, Just Looking and The Bartender and the Thief.Posted on 17 Nov 2009 13:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
