LL Cool J to host Grammy Awards
The rapper, who himself has bagged two of the awards, will be the first official 'host' to oversee the evening's entertainment in seven years.
That's because the Grammy organisers have been playing around with the idea of using a number of celebrities to present the show.
"I'm thrilled to be part of music's biggest night," he said.
"I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."
The muscular hip-hop star, who has also made a name for himself as an actor, added that it will be a great evening of performance and music.
LL Cool J first shot to fame in the eighties as a teenage rapper and is seen as something of a pioneer in the music genre.
Tracks like I Can't Live Without My Radio, The Boomin' System and Mama Said Knock You Out transformed hip-hop forever.
