Lady Gaga: I love Bollywood
The globe-trotting music star Lady Gaga has revealed plans to conquer Bollywood.
The singer told the Hindustan Times that she would be interested in contributing in any way possible, from composing songs on the piano to appearing in the a song and dance number.
A song and dance number is an essential part of Bollywood films where actors literally break into a song and dance piece between straight acting.
The musician said that she had seen a few Bollywood films and was impressed with their flamboyance and colour.
She told the newspaper: "I love how theatrical they are and that’s my favourite part that they are so surreal and full of fantasy."
When asked about which film she liked in particular, the new queen of pop stumbled to come up with an answer, saying that she "liked so many".
When pressed to name her favourite Bollywood actors and actresses, Gaga once again tripped up, opting instead to say that she loved them all.
There was speculation as to whether in fact she really had seen a Bollywood film.
The first two singles from her second album, Born This Way and Judas, have been remixed with a Bollywood sound and released in India.
