Lady Gaga gets uber-social
Appropriately named Little Monsters, the website, which at present is accessible only by invite, is looking to create a "Gaga Network" that hooks the fashionista's fans into her exciting, mad world.
The design of the networking site is chic, with an easy to navigate interface, making it a suitable rival to other social platforms.
CNN reported that this is the first project to come under Backpane, a start-up company founded by Gaga's manager Troy Carter, along with others.
"Backplane is about bringing together communities and Gaga's community just so happens to be the community we're using to learn about proper functionality," Matt Michelsen, chief executive officer of Backpane, told Mashable.
"We think we can really change the world."
The singer-songwriter is seen as the first pop star of the digital revolution, with many followers, likes and views on her respective Twitter, Facebook and YouTube pages.
She is followed by 19 million people on Twitter, indicating her wide reach and appeal across the globe.
