Last Shadow Puppets 'set to return'
The Last Shadow Puppets - the band fronted by The Rascals musician Miles Kane and the Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner - are set to return after a hiatus.
Electric guitar player Kane confirmed that the band will be resurrected after the release of his debut solo album which is due in stores next spring.
Speaking to music magazine NME, Kane revealed that the band will "definitely" be reforming to possibly produce new material after he completes other projects.
"I've got a few things up my sleeve," he said.
Kane worked with Gruff Rhys, of the Super Furry Animals, on his upcoming solo record, which he believes will live up to the expectation of fans following the positive reception of the Last Shadow Puppets' 2008 debut The Age of The Understatement.
Kane said his record stands up to The Age of The Understatement "musically and lyrically", although he believes the record is a "tough act to follow".
Last year, the Last Shadow Puppets' song My Mistakes Were Made For You was nominated for an Ivor Novello award.
