Lenny Kravitz a 'self-taught musician'
Rock star Lenny Kravitz has revealed that he taught himself how to play music as a child.
He explained that music first fired his imagination at the age of six when he saw The Jackson Five in concert.
The event made him want to become a drummer, but without a drum kit in his apartment he made do with playing his mother's pots and pans.
Kravitz released a special deluxe version of his 1989 debut album Let Love Rule at the end of last month. He is currently on a tour of Europe, with ex-Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell supporting him on all 12 of his gigs in France.
