Les Paul and Fender Jaguar among Johnny Marr's top guitars
Marr inspired several generations of British bands with the distinctive guitar sound he developed during his time in The Smiths, with his influence clear in the work of The Stone Roses, Oasis and Radiohead.
After the indie legends split in 1987, he worked with a variety of bands, including The The and Modest Mouse, before joining The Cribs last year.
He has also used that time to indulge his obsession with guitars, amassing a sizeable collection of classic instruments, despite giving some of his favourites away to up and coming stars.
The black 1963 Fender Jaguar is a relatively new addition, but Marr likes its "twangy" sound and is intending to use it on future recordings.
Both the other guitars have played important roles in his career. He used the red Les Paul to develop the "harder sound" of The Smiths' second studio album Meat is Murder, while the acoustic guitar was used on Getting Away With It, the debut single by Electronic, the band formed by Marr and New Order frontman Bernard Sumner.
