Liam Gallagher: Oasis will not carry on without Noel
Oasis will not carry on without electric guitar player and songwriter Noel Gallagher, the band's frontman has confirmed.
Personal tensions between Noel and his brother Liam led to the guitarist walking out on the long-running band during the summer.
Questions over the band's future have been ongoing since the news broke, but Liam has finally moved to put an end to the speculation.
Speaking to the Times, he commented: "We had a good run at it.
"I'm thinking of what the next step is musically, which is all my mind's on."
Liam added that he is pleased Oasis ended because of the band members themselves rather than due to an outside party.
"No-one ended it for us, which was pretty cool," he stated.
Although Noel Gallagher composed most of the band's material, Liam did write several tracks on more recent albums, including Better Man, The Meaning of Soul and the hit single Songbird.Posted on 8 Oct 2009 15:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
