Liam Gallagher's new band could be called Oasis
Liam Gallagher's new band with electric guitar player Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell could be called Oasis.
The Manchester-born singer is recording with his former bandmates after Noel Gallagher's decision to quit Oasis led to the group calling it a day.
However, Liam's decision to keep working with Archer and Bell has led to him becoming open-minded about the possibility of carrying on under their old name.
"If we don't come up with something else by the time we're ready to release the album, it'll be Oasis," he commented.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Liam said he is not willing to give his band a ridiculous name "just for the sake of it".
The vocalist added that he is feeling very confident about the album, which he said is progressing very well.
Oasis made their name in the 1990s with hit albums such as Definitely Maybe and (What's The Story) Morning Glory, which produced classic singles such as Live Forever and Wonderwall.Posted on 2 Dec 2009 12:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News
