Line 6 Relay G30 wireless system reviewed
There is a very uncertain future for wireless audio systems in the UK, as many UHF radio frequencies will soon be sold off, restricting which will remain legal to use.
Performing Musician noted that with this uncertain future in mind, Line 6 have sensibly opted for using the 2.4GHz frequency band.
This is the same system used by wireless routers, creating an immediate advantage over the older generation of wireless systems.
Using the 2.4GHz frequency band also makes the Relay G30 immediately ready-for-use within Europe, South American, Asia and Australia.
Looking at the performance of the unit itself, Performing Musician praised the Relay G30 for the low level of background noise that it produces, even when playing with a low guitar volume.
On top of this, Performing Musician also commented that "If you always hated guitar radio systems because of what they did to your tone, then you owe it to yourself to check this one out as soon as you can."
If less interference, a 100 foot range, and one of the best tones available from a wireless unit are what you're after, then the Line 6 Relay G30 has just made its way onto your shopping list.
