Line 6 Reveal New Flagship Multi-Effect Pedal
The new pedal is Line6’s most comprehensive master controller to date – allowing the user to help build their tones by combining newly-designed amplifiers, cabinets, microphones and effects – and are all contained in this neat multi-unit with 12 footswitches.
Said footswitches are touch-sensitive so you can touch to select, hold and assign and press to engage – allowing you to do all the work with your feet.
Going one further than their traditional POD series - The dual DSP engine that powers the Helix helps emulate that of a real tube amplifier and the unit reacts in a way that a real amplifier would. You can also customise your settings to have a tone that really works for your style.
The comprehensive inputs and outputs on the unit also helps you easily incorporate this into your current rig and even add in other pedals to your signal chain that you absolutely can’t live without.
With four stereo paths you can control multiple instruments simultaneously and even mix wet and dry signals. Phantom power, SPDIF in/out, MIDI and Variax connections are also included.
Pricing is yet to be confirmed and the product is due to land on UK shores later in 2015. Take a 3D look of the pedal here.
