Linkin Park to perform at MTV Europe Music Awards
Electric guitar band Linkin Park have been confirmed as one of the acts which will perform at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards.
The group are one of the first two acts to be booked for the show, with pop singer Katy Perry also due to play at the event in Madrid on November 7th 2010.
Linkin Park could be set for a memorable night as they have been nominated in two categories - Best Live Act and Best Rock.
In the Live Act category, they will be battling it out against fellow electric guitar heavyweights such as Muse, Bon Jovi and Kings of Leon, as well as Lady Gaga.
Kings of Leon and Muse are also in the running for the Best Rock prize, along with Ozzy Osborne and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Meanwhile, the five nominees for the Alternative gong are Gorillaz, Gossip, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend and Paramore.
