Ministry of Sound in London is set to be the first club to boast Dolby's new Atmos Sound system - a sound setup, which according to Dolby, is the most significant cinema audio development since surround sound!

Atmos sound technology is a designed to play multichannel movie soundtracks to provide the listener with an immersive three-dimensional listening experience.

Whilst this type of technology is normally reserved for cinema, the London-based club will soon boast 60 speakers along with a 22 channel setup in the venue's main room known as The Box.

"Dolby Atmos allows our patrons to experience the future of dance music," says Lohan Presencer, Ministry Of Sound's CEO, "creating multidimensional soundscapes the likes of which have never been heard before in a nightclub environment. It's simply breathtaking."

The new soundsystem is due to be in place by January 23rd 2016.
