London Drum Show confirms 2011 dates

The next London Drum Show is to take place in October 2011.
Great deals on musical instruments

The London Drum Show 2011 will take place on October 15th and 16th next year, it has been confirmed.

It is to be held once again at the London Olympia, following the success of the inaugural event at the venue this September, reports MI-Pro.

Hugo Montogomery-Swan, managing director of event organisers Oyster House, said the decision to move the show to later in the year was in recognition of the fact that drum sales typically start to pick up in October.

He added that the event will follow the blueprint laid out by last month's conference.

"[It will be] a wholly focused two-day show with a genuine high-quality mix of exhibition, live stage performances and masterclasses as given by leading international artists," said Mr Montgomery-Swan.

September's event included live demonstrations from Young Drummer of the Year Ben Clarke and Yamaha representative Andy Fisenden, while the show was opened by Steve Gadd.
