London's Portobello Road Subject to Installation of Public DJ Decks
The DJ decks have been installed by Blind Pig Cider , who are encouraging individuals to "rethink the unwritten rules that stop us exploring and enjoying the world around us."
Brought to fruition through the inspiration of London's 'Play Me I'm Yours' art pianos, the public DJ decks provide a unique opportunity to also get tutored by professional DJ's and producers. These lessons are available to individuals on a first-come first-serve basis. Today and tomorrow lessons will be available from music producer/DJ David Beiger.
The booths are designed to accommodate individuals of any skill set. With a pre-loaded set of tracks that range across a vast spectrum of genres, the decks endeavour to convey a diverse offering to the public for which they can mash together at their leisure.
The decks are open both today and tomorrow to anyone who wants to indulge in a short session of mixing. They are open from 11am to 8pm, on the corner of Portobello Road and Tavistock Road.
