MGMT announce details of new album
The band are currently in the process of finalising details about the record which will be the follow-up to 2010's Congratulations and the third of their career adding to the hugely successful 2007 release Oracular Spectacular.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, members Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser explained that they have been influenced by a whole of different aspects, including Irish electronic musician Aphex Twin, which they have brought into the recording of the new album.
Goldwasser said: "We're not trying to make music that everyone understands the first time they hear it," adding that they took a lot inspiration from house music into their latest effort.
The album is still yet to be named and there has been little details about the overall concept of it while the band have only confirmed Alien Days, Introspection and Mystery Disease as being tracks on the record.
