Professor Green was forced to cut his set at a MOBOs afterparty short after a fight broke out.

Arguments broke out at two different venues where parties were held to celebrate the winners at the Wednesday's (20.10.10) awards in Liverpool, northern England, resulting in stars including Tinchy Stryder, Devlin and Tine Tempah having to be evacuated.

A fight broke out between audience members at the city's Hilton hotel afterparty, resulting in the venue closing three hours early and Professor Green - real name Stephen Manderson - stopping mid-song, when he realised someone was trying to storm the stage.

Green - who earlier this week gave evidence in a court case against a man accused of hitting him in the neck with a broken bottle, which almost killed him - told The Sun Newspaper: "After what happened to me I didn't want to take any chances with someone jumping up on stage, so I just got out of there. It was madness, just madness."

An eyewitness told the Daily Star newspaper: "We were in the VIP area when the music stopped. About 40 people came running in throwing bottles.

"A guy was pelted with glasses. I have never seen anything like it. In the main room there were girls pulling each other's hair - there was blood on the floor."

Meanwhile at the city's Circo club N-Dubz had an altercation when a bouncer accused them of not paying a bar tab and took their car keys, causing singers Tulisa and Dappy to argue, saying they were invited for complimentary beverages.

Members of US rapper Nelly's entourage also stepped into the scene, while the police intervened to move on the gathering crowd. The matter was later settled when the bar's manager confirmed N-Dubz' drinks were free.
