Madonna on 1D: "I haven't seen them yet"
But many of One Direction's fans will probably still express disbelief that the famed songstress has claimed a degree of ignorance when it comes to the former X Factor group and singers of You Don't Know You're Beautiful.
Chatting to Daybreak, the morning television programme, Madonna was posed a question about the boys – Harry, Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn.
"That's a pop group, right? Sorry," was her response. "I haven't seen them yet, no, sorry," she went on, when given a brief explanation of the One Thing singers.

Back in 1996, Madonna appeared as Eva Perón in the musical movie Evita, an adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice show. She sang famous numbers such as Don't Cry for Me Argentina and Another Suitcase in Another Hall in the film.
