Manic Street Preachers announce May gigs
Electric guitar band Manic Street Preachers are to embark on a short tour of Europe during May.
The group will start out in Hamburg on May 13th, moving on to play Amsterdam the next evening.
They will then head to Dublin on May 16th, before heading to the UK for shows in Llandudno, Wolverhampton and Cardiff.
Nicky Wire, the bass guitar player for the indie veterans, said the Manics are particularly looking forward to playing at the Cardiff CIA, as it will be their first show at the venue for more than three years.
"It will be a great warm up for the festival season and a perfect way to end what has been a brilliant campaign for [latest album] Postcards From A Young Man," he added.
Wire said the gigs they have played in support of the record have been very enjoyable, especially as the group have performed plenty of tracks from their extensive back catalogue along the way.
The band are releasing the title track from Postcards From A Young Man as a single later this month, with the song set to be come out on February 28th in a number of different formats.
