Electric guitar band Manic Street Preachers are one of a host of acts to be confirmed for next year's Isle of Wight Festival.

The Welsh rockers are to be joined at the bash by the likes of Cast, Hadouken!, Nick Lowe and Public Image Ltd, as well as the hotly-tipped Two Door Cinema Club.

It has been announced the Manics will headline the Big Top stage, playing tunes from their latest record Postcards From A Young Man.

But fans can expect the group to raid their back-catalogue to play plenty of past hits, including If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next, Faster and Revol.

The Isle of Wight Festival 2011 is shaping up to have an impressive line-up, with Foo Fighters, Kasabian, Kings of Leon and Pulp already on the bill.

Organisers have also confirmed Tom Jones will be performing at the event, which is due to take place between June 10th and 12th.
