Marcus Collins chats Gary Barlow
Open Road singer Gary, a judge on the show, officially stipulated that he wanted to be involved with contestants after they graduated the talent contest, according to singer Marcus Collins, who was on The X Factor last year.
"Something that Gary had written into his contract was that after putting all the work in with us and helping us out on the show, he really wanted to work with the people after the competition and help with artist development," Marcus has said in an interview with MTV.
Barlow has enjoyed hits such as Back For Good and Shine as a member of Take That and Love Won't Wait and Forever Love as a solo artist, while Marcus' Seven Nation Army was a top ten hit last March.
Marcus also told MTV that he plans to lend his support to Barlow's group of contestants for the forthcoming series of The X Factor, due to hit screens later this year.
On the show, each judge mentors a certain category of contestants – for example group-based acts. Last year, Gary took charge of the "boys", including Marcus.
