Mark Ronson joins fight to save BBC 6 Music
Electric guitar player Mark Ronson has lent his support to the growing campaign to save BBC 6 Music.
Earlier this week, the BBC confirmed it is planning to close the station, along with its Asian Network, as part of changes to where it spends its budget.
The move has prompted a furious outcry, with more than 100,000 people joining a Facebook group to protest against the decision.
Ronson has added his support to the campaign to save the station and told BBC Radio 5 Live: "It would be a bad thing if it closed down. It's great old music, it's great new bands.
"People on that station love music."
Other musicians have also joined the electric guitar player in condemning the move.
