Sir Paul McCartney used to inadvertently annoy his family with his acoustic guitar playing, his daughter Mary has disclosed.

Mary, 41, shared her insights of living with the iconic musician in an interview with the Telegraph.

She revealed that while she can now appreciate his talent, she was less pleased to hear him playing when she was younger.

"It was like: 'Dad will you stop playing guitar? We're trying to watch EastEnders - that's just annoying'," Mary commented.

However, she added that she is more willing to listen to him today, as he is "pretty good" at playing the guitar.

Mary was photographed as a baby on the reverse sleeve of McCartney's debut solo album in 1970.

The LP contains a number of McCartney classics including Every Night, Junk and Maybe I'm Amazed, and features him playing all the instruments, including the drum kit, the piano, bass guitar and electric guitar.
