McFly offering online electric guitar classes
Fans of pop group McFly will soon be able to get electric guitar tuition from the band after they announced they were setting up a new website.
The four-piece told the Guardian that they are creating a new site that will offer their fans even greater access to their lives, with some even set to receive phone calls from the members themselves.
Creating a subscription site that will charge their fans £6 a month or £50 a year to join, the most loyal will get the most interaction from the group, with videos of electric guitar tutorials and their entire back catalogue also being on offer.
"Our fans spend so much money on us that we wanted to find a way to give them more access," said lead signer and guitarist Tom Fletcher.
The news may encourage more young people to take up a musical instrument after Deborah Annetts, the chief executive of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, wrote to the newspaper that 40 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds are interested in learning to perform music.
