Meatloaf: I see ghosts
Marvin Lee Aday as he is known in real life told Shortlist that he believes in ghosts because he has "seen them and been around them".
"Some are just energy left behind, and some are intelligent," he said.
Meatloaf explained that he has used a K2 meter, which is a device used by people trying to communicate with the dead.
"I chased one across the room once", he told the magazine.
"And when we were making Bat Out Of Hell I saw a blonde girl in a white dress. I went downstairs and told the guys, 'There's a groupie up on the balcony,' and they go, 'How would she get up there?' Everybody went up and no one was there.
In a very open interview, he discussed his movie work such as being in the cult classic Fight Club, chilling with Ozzy Osborne and Steve Tyler and how he thinks people on daytime TV are "whack".
Meatloaf's new studio album Hell in a Handbasket is released later this on February 27th.
