Metallica 'planning 2011 mega-tour'
Electric guitar legends Metallica are planning a spectacular tour next year that will rival Pink Floyd's famous The Wall gigs, the band's manager has stated.
Speaking to Classic Rock, Metallica manager Peter Mensch said the band and their team are already working on plans for the shows.
"They will only play in ten cities but it will be a huge undertaking. It will be Metallica's equivalent of The Wall," he said.
The Wall tour by Pink Floyd played at only four venues but was hugely ambitious, with part of the show including the building of a 35ft high wall between the audience and the band while the performance was going on.
Mensch added that his main role as manager of the band is to come up with extravagant ideas such as this one and then see if they can be feasibly done.Posted on 18 Mar 2010 18:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
