Metallica-signed Gibson Flying V guitar gift for Latin star
The Colombian musician was handed the instrument at the Annual Latin Music Awards ceremony, in which he picked up BMI's President Award.
Previous recipients of the gong include Gloria Estefan, Taylor Swift and The Who's Pete Townshend.
"More than 20 years ago, I purchased my first electric guitar. It was for the largest band in the world Metallica," he said.
"I feel like a 14-year-old."
The electric guitar player is no stranger to award ceremonies having already picked up 17 Latin Grammy awards over the course of his career.
