Electro-pop band Metronomy will be taking their musical instruments around the country in September as they head out on a tour of the UK.

The rising stars have announced details of the new live shows, with the run of gigs kicking off in Southampton on September 20th, reports NME.

Further performances will take place during the same month in Leeds, Sheffield, Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester, before Metronomy round up the tour in Bristol on September 28th.

The band have a big few months ahead of them, with third album The English Rivera coming out on Monday (April 11th).

Metronomy will then head off on a series of live dates throughout the UK, visiting cities such as London, Oxford, Cardiff, Newcastle and Edinburgh along the way.

In May, they are scheduled to take their musical instruments across the Channel for a number of shows in France, as well as a performance in Zurich.

The group's summer commitments will see them play sets at a number of festivals across Europe, including Parklife in Manchester, Wireless in London and the Days Off bash in Paris, as well as the Melt Festival in Germany.
