Michael Sheen: I want to play John Lennon
Michael Sheen would like to play electric guitar player John Lennon in a movie about The Beatles.
The British actor is well known for playing real life personalities, including Tony Blair, Kenneth Williams, Brian Clough and David Frost.
Speaking to Now magazine, he revealed that he would like to continue in this vein by portraying John Lennon.
However, he speculated that if such a project did arise, he would probably be cast as bass guitar player Paul McCartney.
Sheen added that he bumped into McCartney recently, as they were both on the same flight and the musician came over to say hello.
"He said, 'You're famous, aren't you? I've seen you on the TV'," Sheen revealed.
"And I thought, 'Yeah, I've seen you on the TV a few times as well'."
Sheen will soon be seen reprising his role as Tony Blair in The Special Relationship, following his earlier portrayals of the former prime minister in The Queen and The Deal.Posted on 16 Oct 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
