Mick Taylor: Gibson SG guitar had a superb action
Talking to the guitar manufacturer's website, Taylor stated that he used an SG guitar during the Stones' 1969 tour and is currently trying to get hold of one similar to it.
"I just remember loving that guitar," he recalled. "It had a very wide neck and a very flat neck and the action was absolutely superb. And the sound was good, too."
Taylor went on to explain that he used a variety of other electric guitars during his time with the Rolling Stones, including a Gibson Firebrid and Les Paul, as well as a Fender Stratocaster and Fender Telecaster.
The musician went on a short tour of Germany recently, playing shows in Roth, Erfurt, Berlin and Dortmund during March 2010.
