Miles Kane 'wants to play guitar and drums well'
Solo star Miles Kane has explained his desire to be true to the spirit of rock 'n' roll.
Kane, who found fame as a member of the Last Shadow Puppets with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, told the Music OMH website he enjoyed working on his new solo record.
He added that he considers it a true "rock 'n' roll" album, something Kane believes is in short supply in the music industry these days.
Kane stated that he had simple but clearly-defined ambitions for the album, which he has yet to give a title to.
"I wanna have good drums, play guitar well, sing well," he said. "I think if you want to be a rock star, all you should do is play rock 'n' roll!"
The LP features a contribution from Oasis star Noel Gallagher, who sang backing vocals on one of the tracks, assistance Kane described as "great".
Kane is set to go on a tour of the UK early next year, starting with a gig in Leeds on January 21st.
