Miley Cyrus shows of new equal rights tattoo
Teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus is growing up quick with another tattoo that shows a new activist side to her, which then stirred up a bit of a debate on the web.
The new tattoo, her seventh in total, appears on her middle finger and is a simple design of two lines, which was done in support of gay rights.
She posted the image on Twitter, followed by a tweet that said: "All love is equal."
However, her loyal fans reacted with mixed sentiments prompting the 18-year-old singer to say: "To where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn't. God is the only judge honey. God is love."
It appears as though gay rights is an issue close to her heart as last year she actually quit the social networking site over disagreements she was having over a topic that is still divisive in society.
At the time she told Parade magazine: "That's the reason I deleted my Twitter account because I said on there that I believed in gay marriage because everyone should have the right to love each other, and I got such hate mail about my being a bad person."
Aside from having a famous dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley shot to fame with her mega-successful kid's TV show Hannah Montana, which tells the story of a young girl who lives a double life as a normal school girl and international popstar.
