"Mixtape" for Misha B
The release will have cover versions as well as fresh material on it, Misha B has confirmed.
During the X Factor – which was judged by Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Kelly Rowland last year - the singer took on tracks such as I Have Nothing (a number three hit for the late Whitney Houston) and Prince's Purple Rain.
She has told her followers about the new musical release on the social networking site Twitter.
"Take Note! This isn't my Album…The Album Is Yet To Come," she explained.
Instead, the fresh release, which can be purchased today, will take the form of a "mixtape" according to the popstar.
Other artists to find fame following a stint on The X Factor include One Direction, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson.
Misha's "tape" is called Why Hello World.
