Moog Voyager synth used on George Michael tour
A Moog Voyager synthesizer has played an important role in George Michael's latest tour.
The former Wham! star visited Australia and one of the musicians out there with him was keyboard player Luke Smith.
Smith chose to play the Moog Voyager synth having used the musical instrument several times in the past, reports Mi-Pro.
"I've used the Moog regularly both live and in the studio and there's a quality about it that lets it sit really smoothly in the track," said Smith.
He added that the synth has a "certain magic" that gives it a unique sound whether being used for lead or bass parts.
Michael played three dates in Australia in February and March, appearing in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.
The date in Melbourne was the 114th performance of a worldwide tour for the singer and he played hits such as Faith, Careless Whisper and Outside at the gig.Posted on 9 Apr 2010 09:38 to category : Music News
