Indie-folk outfit Mumford and Sons have announced that they will be bringing their unique Gentlemen of the Road Stopover tour to the UK for a one-off event this summer, as part of their continent-hopping travels.

The four-piece rose to fame with their singles Little Lion Man and The Cave, and have since gone on to make appearances at a number of top UK festivals including Reading & Leeds and T in the Park.

Now though, they will bring their own festival-style concert to Convent Field in Lewes on July 19th and 20th this year, before heading to the US.

Each stop on the tour will see one act play a Friday night show, followed by an all-day event on the Saturday.

In Lewes, Vampire Weekend will headline the July 19th show, before The Vaccines, Mystery Jets, Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit and The Very Best Soundsystem join Mumford and Sons for the longer Saturday event.

The band said in a statement: "We actually get to put on our own shows. Which means that we get to ask our favourite bands to come and play a show with us, where we just get to watch them play all day. Five times in one summer too."
