Mumford and Sons confirmed for Glastonbury
Guitar band Mumford and Sons have been confirmed for this year's Glastonbury by festival organiser Michael Eavis.
He confirmed the group will appear on The Park stage at this year's festival in an interview with Glastonbury FM.
Along with the appearance of Mumford and Sons, festivalgoers will also be able to enjoy a new late-night arena called Section 9 this year, Eavis revealed.
He also stated that piano player Stevie Wonder has still not yet been signed up to appear as one of the headliners at the 2010 event.
Only a handful of acts have been confirmed for the festival so far, with the names definitely on the bill including Irish stars U2 and acoustic guitar player Jack Johnson.
Last month, acoustic guitar player Marcus Mumford told the Guardian that Mumford and Sons had already returned to the studio to begin recording new material.
Their debut album, Sigh No More, was released last year.Posted on 17 Mar 2010 14:20 to category : Band / Celebrity News
