Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed the band are planning to perform their 2001 album Origin of Symmetry in its entirety when they headline Reading and Leeds this summer.

The electric guitar player made the announcement via social networking site Twitter, announcing that they want to honour the tenth anniversary of the record's release at the festivals.

He added that "other songs" will also be included in their setlist for the dual-site event.

Reading and Leeds is taking place on the August bank holiday weekend, with the shows falling on the 26th to 28th this year.

Muse will be playing the main stage on the same day as Elbow, Interpol, Friendly Fires, The View and Frank Turner, while 2manydjs, The Streets and Death From Above 1979 will be on the NME/Radio 1 tent.

Across the rest of the festival, ticketholders can look forward to performances from The Strokes, Pulp, My Chemical Romance, Beady Eye and Jane's Addiction.

Many more acts across seven different performance areas have yet to be announced, although the headliners for the Festival Republic Stage have been revealed.

Electric guitar band The Horrors, comedy act The Midnight Beast and Libertines star Pete Doherty will be playing there.
