Muse to perform at Grammy Awards
Electric guitar band Muse have been booked to play at the Grammy Awards next month.
They have been added to a line-up of performers that already included the likes of Arcade Fire, Eminem, Katy Perry, Cee Lo Green and Lady Gaga at the bash, which is set to take place on February 13th in Los Angeles.
Muse have been nominated for two honours at the awards ceremony, with the band battling it out to win prizes in the Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance categories.
Further live performances will be given at the Grammys by Janelle Monae, BoB and chart-topper Bruno Mars, who is up for seven prizes.
Last month, it was announced that the Recording Academy will be providing Special Merit Awards to Dolly Parton, the Ramones, Julie Andrews, Roy Haynes, the Juilliard String Quartet, the Kingston Trio and George Beverly Shea as part of Grammy week.
Recording Academy president and chief executive officer Neil Portnow said: "These influential performers and brilliant innovators have been of great inspiration to our culture and industry.
"Their legendary work has left a lasting impression and will continue to influence generations to come."
