Music the cool way
Terje Isungset, also known aptly as the iceman, is a multi-instrumentalist who likes nothing better than carving marimbas, guitars, trumpets, harps and horns out of ice.
And then he sets about playing them in what is a visual extravaganza.
Terje, who hails from Norwegian city of Bergen, first got into making musical instruments out of ice when he fell in love with the "cool material" after playing a concert inside a frozen waterfall.
Speaking to CNN, he said: "I have challenged friends of mine to perform on ice and given them ideas of what to do. I've made ice guitars, ice marimbas, an iceridoo (didgeridoo) and traditional Norwegian langeleiks.
Other instruments crafted by the maestro include drums, which is apt for a man who started out with a passion for percussion instruments.
How long the actual instruments last is dependent on where they are used and how long they are played with.
Terje has since gone on to found the now annual Ice Music Festival.
