Musicians battle it out in a contest of music innovation
The big fight between British boxer David Haye and the Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko might have been dominating the sports headlines, but an altogether different and more musical battle was taking place in a boxing ring in Bunbury.
A show by the name of Loop the Loop pitted multi-instrumentalist Adam Page against the percussionist Gene Peterson for an enthralling bout of musical innovation, reported Bunbury Mail.
Page is known for his ability to play a range of music instruments, but when he managed to turn a cucumber into a playable instrument, he surpassed even himself.
The two musicians used every trick in the book to manipulate various music instruments through a wide range of techniques.
The newspaper reported that such was the exceptional talent of both men, that an outright winner could not be decided by the judges.
Elsewhere, a man has invented a new music instrument that looks like a football.
Adam Page has created a new device called the AlphaSphere, which creates different sounds depending on how much pressure is applied to the electronic pads that make up the instrument.
